How to Order Custom Doors for IKEA Kitchen Cabinets
The first step in ordering custom doors for your IKEA cabinets is to plan your kitchen in the IKEA kitchen planner. You can also take advantage of booking an appointment with the IKEA team to review your plan and ensure you are not missing anything and that your design works best for your space!
Once you are happy with your design, send the plans, shopping list etc., over to AllStyle Retrofit or the company you plan to work with. Ensure you include the style of door and paint colour you would like, plus any additional notes about custom doors you might need. They will review your plans and send you an itemized list of cabinet doors, drawer fronts, decorative panels, kick plates, light valences etc. They will take care of making these custom for you.
Next, add your IKEA kitchen order to your cart through the Kitchen Planner. Carefully go through your cart and remove any doors, drawer fronts, and decorative panels that you are getting custom-made for your kitchen. This ensures that you aren’t missing any of the critical pieces of the kitchen, such as door hinges, drawer hardware etc.
From my experience, you end up with a lot of IKEA lighting and might not need it all. I installed some of the under-cabinet lightings and love it. You can read more here. However, I don’t feel like you need as much as they send – keep the receipt to return it!

Adding Hardware
Selecting the right hardware for your kitchen can take it to the next level. I recommend looking at current kitchen trends or design inspiration to decide what works best for your space. Hardware is somewhere that I recommend spending a little more to get high quality. One of my favourite trends that is also timeless is unlacquered brass hardware, which I have in my kitchen.

Hey Valerie, I think the total for my IKEA cabinets and AllStyle fronts was around $8000, I did have a small press discount, and these are 2021 pricing (not sure if costs have gone up or not). I believe AllStyle has an FAQ section on their site that indicates the price difference between IKEA doors and panels vs their prices. I hope this helps!
