Homemade Chocolate Sauce
The perfect way to top ice cream – with warm chocolate sauce.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Directions:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add sugar, cocoa, and salt to the water and stir.
Add the butter to the mixture and continue stirring.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
(Just so that the mixture is bubbling.)
Remove from the heat.
Add the vanilla, and stir.
Serve warm over ice cream.
