These peanut butter cookies are amazing on their own – but add in the chocolate pretzel antlers, peanut butter m&m nose and chocolate chips, and they are even better!!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of softened butter
- 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 2/3 cup of granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- pinch of salt
- Red Peanut M&M’s
- Chocolate covered pretzels
- Chocolate Chips
Directions:
Cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, egg, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract for approximately 4 minutes.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix for 1 minute.
Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Scoop the dough into 1 tablespoon sized balls.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and place the dough balls onto the tray. Shape the balls by pinching in the bottom of them to make a reindeer head shape. Look at the picture below for more help on the shape.
Bake for 6-10 minutes.
When the cookies are still hot, press the nose, eyes and antlers into the cookies. Do not bake with these pieces in place – the chocolate will melt!
Make sure you have the pretzels for antlers broken ahead of time – they are surprisingly hard to break in a perfect antler looking way.
Let cool for 5 minutes on the tray before moving onto a cooling rack.
Makes approximately 22 cookies
