Dîner en Blanc, Toronto 2019

Ever New kindly invited Tiffany and I to be their guests at  Dîner en Blanc Toronto! They dressed us in stunning white dresses & accessories from Ever New, and we had the most incredible time!

If you remember, last year I attended Dîner en Blanc in Paris last year, and because I loved it so much, I definitely couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend in Toronto this year!

All photograph’s in this post were taken by the amazing @jessilynnwongphotography.

If you haven’t read my post from last year, or you have never heard of the dinner, I will refresh your memory:

“Dîner en Blanc is a worldwide event, spanning six continents, in which people gather in a public space and set up a temporary, chic dining area. Guests come dressed in white to enjoy quality food and wine. Diners are required to provide their own food, tables, chairs and tablecloths. Only a select number of participants who have previously signed up are made privy to the location the day of the dinner, and generally converge in an iconic city location.” – Wikipedia

As we were guests of Ever New, we did not have to pay to attend, and they kindly provided everything for us. The tables were set up, we had access to the Marketplace to pick up food, which is not typical of most Dîner en Blanc where you have to bring all of this yourself! This is what I had to do in Paris last year, so you can imagine how much nicer it is not having to worry about gathering tables, chairs, linens, plates, cutlery, glasses and food to a secret location!

“The Dîner en Blanc concept began in Paris in 1988 when Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor dinner at Bois de Boulogne, asking them to dress in white so they could find each other.” – Wikipedia

This year the dinner was in the Steam Whistle Brewing area where the grounds are a historic brick railway roundhouse, with views of the CN Tower.

These are a few photos of the little marketplace where we could pick up our food in these cute little picnic baskets that were provided to each pair. There was a selection of cheeses, salads, croissants and desserts to choose from to enjoy for dinner.

There were also a few different photo op areas, but these had huge lineups, so sadly we didn’t get to try most of them. We did get many other gorgeous photos though, and had so much fun!

The dresses we were gifted to wear for the event from Ever New are absolutely gorgeous! They have a great price point, and they are lined which is so important. If you haven’t visited the website before, I definitely recommend it! It is always a great go-to if you have a special event coming up.

It was such a stunning night, and I am so happy and thankful that I had the opportunity to attend. The dinner always ends with every person attending holding up their own sparklers, followed by dancing. It is such a magical event, and I hope to make Dîner en Blanc a tradition each year.

I also want to thank Ever New for inviting me, as well as all of the incredible volunteers that help make Dîner en Blanc such a special event!
