I always had a vision of us standing like this 🥹 I always had a vision of us standing like this 🥹

Not just of the kitchen itself, but of the life happening inside it.

Late-night feeds, morning muffins, little feet running across the floor and watching Owen grow 🤍

These are a few photos I took of the kitchen 🤍

The Tripp Trapp from @stokkeusa is one of those pieces we’ve used through so many stages already. I love that it’s thoughtfully designed to grow with your child from newborn and beyond, and even works as an adult chair later on. Plus the design is beautiful and comes in so many colours that blend seamlessly into your home.

And the Sleepi started as the mini crib we could wheel right into our bedroom, then transitioned into Owen’s crib, and then into a toddler bed as he grows. Those are the kinds of pieces that just become part of your everyday life over time.

I’m so excited that Stokke has launched a Canadian website where Canadian families can shop my favourite baby brand directly through stokke.com/CAN/en-ca/home🇨🇦!

We upgraded to a California king bed... and it cre We upgraded to a California king bed... and it created a problem

Our bedroom door could barely open anymore because it kept hitting the nightstand.

In a perfect world, we would have widened the doorway and installed antique double doors. But with old lath and plaster walls, that would’ve turned into a much bigger project than we wanted to take on.

So I came up with a slightly crazy idea...

What if we cut our existing solid-core door in half and turned it into skinny double doors?

We measured, marked the centre, took a deep breath, and made the cut.

A little sanding, some paint, new hinges, and a lot of trial and error later, we had double doors that cleared the nightstands perfectly and completely changed how the room functions.

No doorway rebuild.
No custom millwork.
Just a creative DIY solution that solved a real-life problem.

Honestly, it ended up becoming one of my favourite details in our bedroom.

This is your reminder that sometimes the best home projects come from working with what you already have 🤍

A little kitchen refresh before summer hosting sea A little kitchen refresh before summer hosting season 🤍

Setting the table, layering a few serving pieces, adding florals… small things like this always make our home feel more welcoming and put together.

I found so many elevated home pieces at @WalmartCanada for this space lately.

My attic office needed a little more whimsy, but I My attic office needed a little more whimsy, but I didn’t want to spend a fortune on wallpaper… so I grabbed a cheap Amazon stencil, a sample pot of paint, and spent a few nap-times stencilling!

It completely changed the feel of the space and gave the walls that charming wallpaper look for a fraction of the cost.

Proof that sometimes the smallest DIYs make the biggest difference ✨ if you want the stencil and other items in my office, write DETAILS below!
